What makes this ritual special, according to Diana

For therapist Diana Castro, Lunch & Spa is a complete experience. First, the Water Circuit helps the client slow down. The Abhyanga Massage then brings rhythm, warmth and presence to the body. Finally, lunch at PortoBay Liberdade extends the feeling of pause without rushing, with the comfort of an experience fully integrated into the hotel.

  • Is looking for a different kind of lunch break combining spa, massage and a meal.
  • Wants to give a special, practical and elegant experience.
  • Would like a programme for two in central Lisbon.
  • Values wellbeing without needing to set aside half a day.

Diana Castro’s perspective

When I welcome a client for Lunch & Spa, I often feel that they arrive with limited time but a very strong need for a pause. They may come between appointments, as part of a special day, as a couple or simply because they have decided to turn their lunch break into something different. My priority is therefore to create a calm transition between the city and the spa environment.

The Water Circuit helps prepare the body for the massage because it encourages the person to slow down before the therapeutic touch begins. During the Abhyanga Massage, I use rhythmic, fluid and enveloping movements that are always adapted to each person’s comfort. Even during a 25-minute massage, I observe tension in the shoulders, breathing, the way the body responds to the rhythm and the areas that need more attention.

What makes this experience special is the balance between care and practicality. It is not simply a short massage or only lunch at the hotel. It is a complete pause that begins at the spa and continues at the table with a three-course meal and a drink of choice.

At the end, I like the client to feel that the rhythm of the day has changed. That they have stepped out of their routine for a while and return with greater lightness, presence and comfort.
